No tricks, just treats from Schulstad for Halloween! Our mini cinnamon swirl monster sandwiches are frightfully delicious and super easy to make. Mini marshmallows and slivered almonds are sandwiched between two halves of one Mini Cinnamon Swirl bound together with a smear of red velvet frosting!

Ingredients

Mini Cinnamon Swirl Monsters

4 ea Schulstad Mini Cinnamon Swirls
Red Velvet Frosting (see recipe)
Mini Marshmallows, cut in half lengthwise
Almond Slivers
Candy Eyes

Red Velvet Frosting

Small Red Velvet Cake (homemade or store bought)
8 oz Cream Cheese

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 360°F, and place the frozen pastry onto a parchment paper-lined baking tray. Bake for 15 - 18 minutes. Let cool.
Meanwhile, prepare the red velvet frosting by combining the ingredients in a mixer and thoroughly blending them together. Cut the mini cinnamon swirls in half and pipe the red velvet frosting onto one half. Top with the other half to make a "sandwich".
Cut the mini marshmallows in half lengthwise for the "teeth". Line the marshmallow pieces on the rim of the curved side of the sandwich. Add slivered almonds for the "fangs". Finish by using the icing packet included to glue the candy eyes onto the top half.
